In Orlando, u-pick seasons are short and weather-dependent, so check the farm's own page or call the same morning before driving out. Across Florida, many farm stands are cash-friendly and close for the winter, and botanical gardens may charge admission or require timed tickets on busy weekends. Community gardens often keep waiting lists, so apply early in the year. Check the listing for hours, address and Google rating.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 217 reviews, which is a strong result for a garden in Orlando and suggests consistent service.

Orlando is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Orlando peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Arid Garden in the Harry P. Lue Botanical garden is a wonderful collection of typically desert plants such as succulents and cactisuch including Yucca, Agave, Dasylirion, Opuntia, Acacia, and Crassula. Interestingly these plants seem to thrive here as well in a tropical climate. This is a well maintained and must see garden on your visit.

Every turn we made we discovered so many plants to appreciate! Like someone mentioned in another review, it would have taken years and years for parts of this garden to develop. Stop and look how beautifully nature can age around us. We visited nearing the end of February 2024. Hope you make it out to Henry P Lue Gardens! πŸͺ»πŸͺ΄πŸŒΉπŸŒΊ

One of the best botanical gardens I've ever visited, but with 40 acres to roam, I feel like I barely touched it. I'll be back, for sure. This garden was beautifully done. Strategic placements and well-thought-out designs everywhere I went. Someone spent a lot of time on this garden and it shows. It took decades to grow some of these plants. Surely they had no idea it would be this gorgeous. What a gift to future generations. I am very grateful for the Lou family's contributions and all the amazing photos/moments captured here. I can't wait to go back!

The garden is pretty. The staff we spoke with were friendly and answered our questions. It would have been nice to have had some markings in the garden to show the way out. We had trouble navigating to the exit when we were ready to leave.
